Welcome to Propofology
Propofology.com was launched in 2016 to provide free open online access to medical education, predominantly in Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine.
In my role as an honorary tutor to final year QUB medical students, the role of the site has expanded to host a lot of undergraduate resources in all aspects of undergraduate medicine for finals. This site is not affiliated with or linked with QUB Medical School.
This website is open, without registration, and free to all - so use the resources I have signposted and created as revision aids in this last few months of your medical school career. For those of you interested in Anaesthesia, ICU & Pain Medicine, you can take a look at some of the infograms I have created here.
Revision for the finals is a daunting process. During year five of your medical degree, you will have:
If you are part of my tutorial group, we will engage with clinical scenarios and topics that are considered 'high yield' for the final exams and useful for starting your FY1 year.
These sessions are supported by material found in the 'STUDENT' section above. Ultimately, you will need to cover all of the content for the final exams, but I will signpost specific topics for each session.
For now, do three things:
1. Peruse the student section for useful topics to your revision
2. Check out the LIST of best, free, online educational resources for medical students (as well as using the QUB portal)
3. See the reasons you should use #FOAMed for your medical education and get involved
I look forward to meeting and working with you soon.
