Why? Aside from my article, reasons to get involved in #FOAMed - this is a perfect opportunity for CV building, sharing your work and teaching a wide audience of people. It was a requested feature from the 2016 Survey.

If you want to get involved in a collaborative project with me, then contact me directly.
What to do:
1. Get in touch with me early on in the project - via Twitter (privately) or email.
2. Conceptualise your topic, gather your references and make a plan. Mind-map if you like.
3. Consider how long the infograph or resource would be. Aim for <A4 page; something that could be printed.
4. Infographs, PDF's, Posters, Documents, Graphs etc will be accepted (see below).
5. Choose the medium by which you are going to create your infographic.
6. If you need guidance or signposting on creating content, privately email or message me via Twitter to get started
7. Have a look and see what resources are already out there on the topic - but don't worry - repetition is OK!
Creating Infograms
Use a free service such as: Visme, PiktoChart, Canva to create your infogram.
This allows you to use vectors, shapes and pre-made images to create your work. If making an exciting document, create it in Microsoft Word or similar and convert it to a PDF (easily done on the program itself) for universal use. Don't forget to use beautiful images, fonts, graphs and tables.
Visme, for example allows us to embed the Infogram on the website directly as well as providing a link to view it in FullScreen. The free version will also allow you to make up to 3 projects and download them as JPG images for ease of use. But have a look at a couple of services. Most allow you to do this quite easily.
Give your project a title and a subtitle with a catchy tag-line if possible to clarify the content by simply looking at the title area.
There are literally HUNDREDS of pre-made infogram templates to fill in to make your project look beautiful.
Once created - your work will be showcased on the website and via Twitter. The work will be entirely attributed to you and your name/Twitter contact etc provided alongside the publication. It is also advisable to place your name/Twitter handle or some identifiable information within the Infogram as this allows easy identification of your work and people can get in contact.
By the nature of the submission, your work will become Free, Open Access Medical Educational Material and freely distributable under a creative commons license - attributing the work to you.
There is no topic that is too off-topic - people have created infograms on Down's Syndrome, Autism and Epilepsy for the website - so any aspect of healthcare related information is important and valued.
Topics that are quite often of interest include (but are certainly not limited to):
How to submit
Get in touch directly over Twitter or email to discuss the project and then submit it via email. It will take less than a minute to submit all the relevant details. In summary - it's free, quick and easy, so you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain.
I look forward to hearing from you!
